Joint PhD in Social Work – Ein Doktorat in Sozialer Arbeit

INDOSOW-International Doctoral Studies in Social Work is the first joint European doctoral programme which offers postgraduate students the opportunity to take part in an international interdisciplinary study of social work, welfare systems and social policies. The programme was developed by the European network of four partner universities with extensive references in the field of international academic cooperation.

The objective of the new joint international programme is to bring together the expertise and knowlede of numerous universities from various countries and gradually build a common European higher education area which will provide students with more opportunities to participate in international cooperation and research.

  • Universität Siegen in cooperation with Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin
  • Universität Jyväskylä/Finland

An International Award 2009 for INDOSOW

Der Council on Social Work Education – Commission on Global Social Work verleiht dem INDOSOW Doktoratsprogramm den Award 2009 für ausserordentliche Leistungen für die internationale Ausbildung in Sozialer Arbeit.

„We are pleased to announce that INDOSOW, the International Doctoral Studies in Social Work at the University of Ljubljana, has been selected to receive the 2009 Partners in Advancing Education for International (PIE) Social Work Award in the degree-granting program cateogory. The CSWE global Commission is delighted to recognize INDOSOW's extraordinary achievements in international social work education.“
